5:30 PM - 6:30 PM    High School Soccer Leagues and Clinics - High School Futsal Soccer League
OSPR is working to bring our high school athletes several opportunities throughout the year to work on their soccer skills or just have a good time with friends playing the world's most popular sport.  We have skill clinics and leagues, both indoor and outside, to keep everyone busy year round.The indoor futsal league will take place for 6 weeks.  Game Play - 5v5 (small sided, a lot of touches, skill development, fast pace games). We will use cones for goals which help with skill development and control as well as game strategy.Also, in June we will start our outdoor summer league at Ferry Rd.  This will be an 6 week league.  We will play pick up style, small sided play.   Make sure your email address is accurate and that you check it for league updates, rosters, schedules, etc.
 
7:00 PM - 8:30 PM    Adult Basketball - 18+ Basketball
Adult basketball on Monday nights at the Rec. are free to Old Saybrook Residents.  Pick-up style basketball starts at 7pm and goes till 8:30.  For any questions please contact the Rec.

Students are invited to play the game of Kickball. We will break into different teams each week and play the game of kickball. This Co-ed non-contact activity will meet once a week for 5 weeks. Dress appropriately for outside play.
 
6:30 PM - 8:30 PM    Sound Steppers Dance Club - Sound Steppers at Goodwin
Looking for something fun and new to try... try Modern Western Square Dancing.  OSPR is now offering square dancing!  This fun and easy going program that is just as much social as it is physical.  There is skill progression learning new calls through the weeks.  This program meets in the cafeteria at Goodwin Elementary.

Join us for a fishing derby at Crystal Lake at Clark Community Park on Schoolhouse Rd. See who can claim bragging rights, the children or the adults? Who will get the biggest catch of the day? Children age 5-15 must be accompanied by a family member.  The lake will be stocked with trout for all to enjoy.  You must register by April 19th. Fun for the whole family!Fee: $5.00 per person Time: 7:00AM-10:00AM Participants 16 and older must have a valid CT fishing license. Old Saybrook Residents Only!!!

This class features lots of crafts projects that will focus on a beach theme. We will use shells, sand, stories, sea creatures and more. Class takes place in the Recreation Center.

OSHS Seniors, Kevin Decapua and London Sweeney, are putting on a three day soccer clinic for our Middle schoolers to see what is needed to play at the next level.  Focusing on skill work and game play, they not only show what it takes to play at the high school level, but share insight of what high school and high school athletics are like.This Clinic will take place at Ferry Rd. Ball field for three 90 minute sessions.  Please bring a water bottle and wear cleats and shin guards.

Students are invited to join OSPR in our afterschool fishing club at Crystal Lake in Clark Community Park.  Each participant will learn how to tie knots, rig their fishing poles, cast and reel in the big one!!  Class will meet at Town Park, at the basketball court.  If you do not have your own pole, please notify Jonathan Paradis at the Rec.OSPR does not provide transportation for this program.

1:30 PM - 2:15 PM    Social Enrichment Programs w/ Tide Over - Mother's Day Craft
We have partnered with Tide Over, LLC to offer two special programs that will allow children to create a gift and card for someone they love. This program will allow children of all abilities to engage in a social format while creating different media crafts for a love one.They will use markers, paint, glue and tissue paper on the canvas or box. As well has construction paper for the card(s). This event is open to kids Pre-K through 5th grade.  There will be a storytime along with the craft.

OSPR is working to bring our high school athletes several opportunities throughout the year to work on their soccer skills or just have a good time with friends playing the world's most popular sport.  We have skill clinics and leagues, both indoor and outside, to keep everyone busy year round.The indoor futsal league will take place for 6 weeks.  Game Play - 5v5 (small sided, a lot of touches, skill development, fast pace games). We will use cones for goals which help with skill development and control as well as game strategy.Also, in June we will start our outdoor summer league at Ferry Rd.  This will be an 6 week league.  We will play pick up style, small sided play.   Make sure your email address is accurate and that you check it for league updates, rosters, schedules, etc.

OSPR's Tee-Ball program is designed to teach skills, encourage team work, provide fun, and to build self esteem. 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM    Adult Basketball - 18+ Basketball
Adult basketball on Monday nights at the Rec. are free to Old Saybrook Residents.  Pick-up style basketball starts at 7pm and goes till 8:30.  For any questions please contact the Rec.

Pickleball is a racquet sport which combines elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis. The sport is played on a court with the same dimensions as a doubles badminton court. The net is similar to a tennis net, but is mounted two inches lower. The game is played with a hard paddle and a polymer wiffleball.In our OPEN PLAY programs players are required to play with all skill levels and not cut in the paddle line.This program is for players who have played or have a complete understanding of rules and the sport.
 
3:15 PM - 4:00 PM    Kickball - Kickball Club at Goodwin
Students are invited to play the game of Kickball. We will break into different teams each week and play the game of kickball. This Co-ed non-contact activity will meet once a week for 5 weeks. Dress appropriately for outside play.

Looking for something fun and new to try... try Modern Western Square Dancing.  OSPR is now offering square dancing!  This fun and easy going program that is just as much social as it is physical.  There is skill progression learning new calls through the weeks.  This program meets in the cafeteria at Goodwin Elementary.

Cheryl has been practicing Yoga for over 30 years and is now excited to bring her passion to you as a teacher.  Through mindful movement, participants will expand their self-awareness and explore the connection between their breath, body and mind in a positive and supportive environment.
