The Park & Recreation Department will offer a Before & After Camp Care program. These extra hours are designed to provide supervision to youth in grade 1st – 4th whose parents work beyond the 9:00-4:00PM Camp time. We will staff from 8:00 –9:00 a.m. for before care. After Care will be available from 4:00 – 5:30 p.m. Staff is not on duty before 8:00 a.m. or after 5:30 p.m. Please make sure your child is dropped off or picked up between the hours listed below. Program takes place at the Recreation Center.

Welcome to Summer Camp 2022 for 1st & 2nd graders.  We have 9 weeks of summer fun lined up and look to spend as much time outside in the fresh air as we can.  This Camp will take place at the Recreation Center, but will use all the surrounding properties as well for games, arts-n-crafts, activities, water days and so much more.  While we will not have any out of town field trips this summer we will look to visit Mini Golf at Saybrook Point and the splash pad at Trask. Additionally, we will be having different performers visit our camp once every week for some awesome entertainment. However, Masks will be required on the bus to the Town Beach/Mini Golf on Wednesdays. Every week will be a different "theme" that some of our activities will look to mirror. Pickleball is a racquet sport which combines elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis. The sport is played on a court with the same dimensions as a doubles badminton court. The net is similar to a tennis net, but is mounted two inches lower. The game is played with a hard paddle and a polymer wiffleball.

6:45 AM - 7:30 AM    Fitness w/ Jill Temple - Adult Fitness w/ Jill @ The Beach Session 2
Let's get fit and have fun!!Wake up and get your day started by moving your body. This morning class will get your heart pumping and sweating in order to tackle the day. We will be performing all body weight exercises and a little cardio sequence.  All you need to bring is a beach towel/yoga mat and water.

Welcome to the 44th annual Summer Concert Series brought to you by:The Old Saybrook Rotary Club This Summer is going to be different, but we will have live music on the Town Green on Wednesdays night starting at 6:30pm and then on 5 Friday nights starting at 7:00pm.We would like to thank all of our sponsors and community partners who help us bring this series to our residents for FREE.Bring a blanket and some chairs, pack a picnic and enjoy a great night of live music.This is a family friendly event and as with all of our parks and facilities, the use of alcohol and/or tobacco is prohibited.

6:00 PM - 8:00 PM    High School Soccer Leagues and Clinics - Boys High School Summer Soccer League
OSPR is working to bring our high school athletes several opportunities throughout the year to work on their soccer skills or just have a good time with friends playing the world's most popular sport.  We have skill clinics and leagues, both indoor and outside, to keep everyone busy year round.Back for a 4th year is indoor futsal league.  This league will take place March through June.  Game Play - 5v5 (small sided, a lot of touches, skill development, fast pace games). We will use cones for goals which help with skill development and control as well as game strategy.Also, in June we will start our outdoor summer league at Ferry Rd. and Maple Ave. Ball field.  This will be an 6 week league.  We will play pick up style, small sided play.   Make sure your email address is accurate and that you check it for league updates, rosters, schedules, etc.

The LYT Yoga® method is a core based vinyasa practice to improve our movement in life. Throughout our days we create postural imbalances by sitting and/or using technology for long periods of time. The LYT method addresses these imbalances so that our yoga practice can be safer, create better movements patterns by remapping our brain's tendencies, and connect us to our core to make us feel more energetic and alive! Instructions provided for all levels.

6:00 PM - 7:00 PM    Yoga w/ Terri Cain - Beach Yoga with Terri Cain
Gentle Yoga is a Vinyasa-based class which blends breath with movement, balancing gentle stretches and openings with invigorating poses. Modifications encourage mixed-level students to work to their personal edge. Focus of this class is on stress release and re-energizing of body and mind.  Class Taught by : Terri Cain, BFA, MA, MDiv, certified Kripalu Yoga instructor; has lead students for over 20 years. OSPR is working to bring our high school athletes several opportunities throughout the year to work on their soccer skills or just have a good time with friends playing the world's most popular sport.  We have skill clinics and leagues, both indoor and outside, to keep everyone busy year round.Back for a 4th year is indoor futsal league.  This league will take place March through June.  Game Play - 5v5 (small sided, a lot of touches, skill development, fast pace games). We will use cones for goals which help with skill development and control as well as game strategy.Also, in June we will start our outdoor summer league at Ferry Rd. and Maple Ave. Ball field.  This will be an 6 week league.  We will play pick up style, small sided play.   Make sure your email address is accurate and that you check it for league updates, rosters, schedules, etc.

However, Masks will be required on the bus to the Town Beach/Mini Golf on Wednesdays. Every week will be a different "theme" that some of our activities will look to mirror. Gentle Yoga is a Vinyasa-based class which blends breath with movement, balancing gentle stretches and openings with invigorating poses. Modifications encourage mixed-level students to work to their personal edge. Focus of this class is on stress release and re-energizing of body and mind.  Class Taught by : Terri Cain, BFA, MA, MDiv, certified Kripalu Yoga instructor; has lead students for over 20 years. Let's get fit and have fun!!Wake up and get your day started by moving your body. This morning class will get your heart pumping and sweating in order to tackle the day. We will be performing all body weight exercises and a little cardio sequence.  All you need to bring is a beach towel/yoga mat and water.

Classes will include a combination of drills and play-based activities aimed at developing an overall mastery of the fundamentals of tennis.

Welcome to Summer Camp for 3rd & 4th graders.  We have 9 weeks of summer fun lined up and look to spend as much time outside in the fresh air as we can.  This Camp will take place at the Recreation Center, but will use all the surrounding properties as well for games, arts-n-crafts, activities, water days and so much more.  While we will not have any out of town field trips this summer we will look to visit Mini Golf at Saybrook Point and the splash pad at Trask Park and Harvey's Beach. Truly the  perfect spot for adventure & outdoor activities. We will have campers participating in arts-n-crafts, science, nature activities, water games, and sport games. Any out of town field trips this summer we will look to visit Mini Golf at Saybrook Point and  head down to the town beach.Campers will not be required to wear masks. However, Masks will be required on the bus to the Town Beach/Mini Golf on Wednesdays. Every week will be a different "theme" that some of our activities will look to mirror. Classes will include a combination of drills and play-based activities aimed at developing an overall mastery of the fundamentals of tennis.

OSPR is working to bring our high school athletes several opportunities throughout the year to work on their soccer skills or just have a good time with friends playing the world's most popular sport.  We have skill clinics and leagues, both indoor and outside, to keep everyone busy year round.Back for a 4th year is indoor futsal league.  This league will take place March through June.  Game Play - 5v5 (small sided, a lot of touches, skill development, fast pace games). We will use cones for goals which help with skill development and control as well as game strategy.Also, in June we will start our outdoor summer league at Ferry Rd. and Maple Ave. Ball field.  This will be an 6 week league.  We will play pick up style, small sided play.   Make sure your email address is accurate and that you check it for league updates, rosters, schedules, etc.

The LYT Yoga® method is a core based vinyasa practice to improve our movement in life. Throughout our days we create postural imbalances by sitting and/or using technology for long periods of time. The LYT method addresses these imbalances so that our yoga practice can be safer, create better movements patterns by remapping our brain's tendencies, and connect us to our core to make us feel more energetic and alive! Instructions provided for all levels.

We will be performing all body weight exercises and a little cardio sequence.  All you need to bring is a beach towel/yoga mat and water.

Gentle Yoga is a Vinyasa-based class which blends breath with movement, balancing gentle stretches and openings with invigorating poses. Modifications encourage mixed-level students to work to their personal edge. Focus of this class is on stress release and re-energizing of body and mind.  Class Taught by : Terri Cain, BFA, MA, MDiv, certified Kripalu Yoga instructor; has lead students for over 20 years. Inspiration for her yoga classes comes from her background in dance, intensive training in Dance Therapy and Movement Analysis with Irmgard Bartenieff, founder of the Laban Institute of Movement Studies, studies in the Alexander Technique, and an ongoing exploration of spirituality and the arts (Master of Divinity -Yale/ Institute of Sacred Music.) Terri teaches group and private yoga for all ages. She brings her yoga off the mat as President of Guilford Community TV, and as Founding Partner and Manager of the Hubbard Community Garden at the Medad Stone Tavern

Let's get fit and have fun!!Wake up and get your day started by moving your body. This morning class will get your heart pumping and sweating in order to tackle the day. After Care will be available from 4:00 – 5:30 p.m. Staff is not on duty before 8:00 a.m. or after 5:30 p.m. Please make sure your child is dropped off or picked up between the hours listed below. However, Masks will be required on the bus to the Town Beach/Mini Golf on Wednesdays. Every week will be a different "theme" that some of our activities will look to mirror. Gentle Yoga is a Vinyasa-based class which blends breath with movement, balancing gentle stretches and openings with invigorating poses. Modifications encourage mixed-level students to work to their personal edge. Focus of this class is on stress release and re-energizing of body and mind.  Class Taught by : Terri Cain, BFA, MA, MDiv, certified Kripalu Yoga instructor; has lead students for over 20 years. Inspiration for her yoga classes comes from her background in dance, intensive training in Dance Therapy and Movement Analysis with Irmgard Bartenieff, founder of the Laban Institute of Movement Studies, studies in the Alexander Technique, and an ongoing exploration of spirituality and the arts (Master of Divinity -Yale/ Institute of Sacred Music.) Terri teaches group and private yoga for all ages. She brings her yoga off the mat as President of Guilford Community TV, and as Founding Partner and Manager of the Hubbard Community Garden at the Medad Stone Tavern

OSPR is working to bring our high school athletes several opportunities throughout the year to work on their soccer skills or just have a good time with friends playing the world's most popular sport.  We have skill clinics and leagues, both indoor and outside, to keep everyone busy year round.Back for a 4th year is indoor futsal league.  This league will take place March through June.  Game Play - 5v5 (small sided, a lot of touches, skill development, fast pace games). We will use cones for goals which help with skill development and control as well as game strategy.Also, in June we will start our outdoor summer league at Ferry Rd. and Maple Ave. Ball field.  This will be an 6 week league.  We will play pick up style, small sided play.   Make sure your email address is accurate and that you check it for league updates, rosters, schedules, etc.

Welcome to the 44th annual Summer Concert Series brought to you by:The Old Saybrook Rotary Club This Summer is going to be different, but we will have live music on the Town Green on Wednesdays night starting at 6:30pm and then on 5 Friday nights starting at 7:00pm.We would like to thank all of our sponsors and community partners who help us bring this series to our residents for FREE.Bring a blanket and some chairs, pack a picnic and enjoy a great night of live music.This is a family friendly event and as with all of our parks and facilities, the use of alcohol and/or tobacco is prohibited.

On Wednesday nights the gym is open to all adults to come and play pick-up style volleyball. This is a great opportunity to get out mid week and have a fun and active evening. The competition is friendly and usually we are able to play 3 to 4 matches each night.

These extra hours are designed to provide supervision to youth in grade 1st – 4th whose parents work beyond the 9:00-4:00PM Camp time. We will staff from 8:00 –9:00 a.m. for before care. After Care will be available from 4:00 – 5:30 p.m. Staff is not on duty before 8:00 a.m. or after 5:30 p.m. Please make sure your child is dropped off or picked up between the hours listed below. Any out of town field trips this summer we will look to visit Mini Golf at Saybrook Point and  head down to the town beach.Campers will not be required to wear masks. However, Masks will be required on the bus to the Town Beach/Mini Golf on Wednesdays. Every week will be a different "theme" that some of our activities will look to mirror. Gentle Yoga is a Vinyasa-based class which blends breath with movement, balancing gentle stretches and openings with invigorating poses. Modifications encourage mixed-level students to work to their personal edge. Focus of this class is on stress release and re-energizing of body and mind.  Class Taught by : Terri Cain, BFA, MA, MDiv, certified Kripalu Yoga instructor; has lead students for over 20 years. Inspiration for her yoga classes comes from her background in dance, intensive training in Dance Therapy and Movement Analysis with Irmgard Bartenieff, founder of the Laban Institute of Movement Studies, studies in the Alexander Technique, and an ongoing exploration of spirituality and the arts (Master of Divinity -Yale/ Institute of Sacred Music.) Terri teaches group and private yoga for all ages. She brings her yoga off the mat as President of Guilford Community TV, and as Founding Partner and Manager of the Hubbard Community Garden at the Medad Stone Tavern

Let's get fit and have fun!!Wake up and get your day started by moving your body. This morning class will get your heart pumping and sweating in order to tackle the day. We will be performing all body weight exercises and a little cardio sequence.  All you need to bring is a beach towel/yoga mat and water.

OSPR is working to bring our high school athletes several opportunities throughout the year to work on their soccer skills or just have a good time with friends playing the world's most popular sport.  We have skill clinics and leagues, both indoor and outside, to keep everyone busy year round.Back for a 4th year is indoor futsal league.  This league will take place March through June.  Game Play - 5v5 (small sided, a lot of touches, skill development, fast pace games). We will use cones for goals which help with skill development and control as well as game strategy.Also, in June we will start our outdoor summer league at Ferry Rd. and Maple Ave. Ball field.  This will be an 6 week league.  We will play pick up style, small sided play.   Make sure your email address is accurate and that you check it for league updates, rosters, schedules, etc.

The LYT Yoga® method is a core based vinyasa practice to improve our movement in life. Throughout our days we create postural imbalances by sitting and/or using technology for long periods of time. The LYT method addresses these imbalances so that our yoga practice can be safer, create better movements patterns by remapping our brain's tendencies, and connect us to our core to make us feel more energetic and alive! Instructions provided for all levels.

Let's get fit and have fun!!Wake up and get your day started by moving your body. This morning class will get your heart pumping and sweating in order to tackle the day. We will be performing all body weight exercises and a little cardio sequence.  All you need to bring is a beach towel/yoga mat and water.

The Park & Recreation Department will offer a Before & After Camp Care program. These extra hours are designed to provide supervision to youth in grade 1st – 4th whose parents work beyond the 9:00-4:00PM Camp time. We will staff from 8:00 –9:00 a.m. for before care. After Care will be available from 4:00 – 5:30 p.m. Staff is not on duty before 8:00 a.m. or after 5:30 p.m. Please make sure your child is dropped off or picked up between the hours listed below. Any out of town field trips this summer we will look to visit Mini Golf at Saybrook Point and  head down to the town beach.Campers will not be required to wear masks. However, Masks will be required on the bus to the Town Beach/Mini Golf on Wednesdays. Every week will be a different "theme" that some of our activities will look to mirror. You can check out the themes by scrolling to the bottom of the page. Also, Please check out the performers scheduled to visit our camp this year! Gentle Yoga is a Vinyasa-based class which blends breath with movement, balancing gentle stretches and openings with invigorating poses. Modifications encourage mixed-level students to work to their personal edge. Focus of this class is on stress release and re-energizing of body and mind.  Class Taught by : Terri Cain, BFA, MA, MDiv, certified Kripalu Yoga instructor; has lead students for over 20 years. Inspiration for her yoga classes comes from her background in dance, intensive training in Dance Therapy and Movement Analysis with Irmgard Bartenieff, founder of the Laban Institute of Movement Studies, studies in the Alexander Technique, and an ongoing exploration of spirituality and the arts (Master of Divinity -Yale/ Institute of Sacred Music.) Terri teaches group and private yoga for all ages. She brings her yoga off the mat as President of Guilford Community TV, and as Founding Partner and Manager of the Hubbard Community Garden at the Medad Stone Tavern
