Join the Woods & Trails Team - Tuesday, October 7th
Do you love to walk or run in the woods? Would you like to find some buddies with similar interests? Old Saybrook Parks & Rec is looking for walkers, runners, event leaders, and trail stewards who want to participate in our town’s 1600 acres of conserved, forested space. Join us at an organizational meeting to learn more and share your ideas, such as: A walking series for families with children(Treasure hunts, letterboxing, etc.), a walking series for trail stewardship, a trail runner series.
Registration required.
Walk & Work Series
Old Saybrook contains 1600 acres of contiguous conservation land, surrounded by about 12 miles of trails. Join with like-minded locals this fall as we visit the loop in four segments of 3 miles each. In addition to walking, we’ll take notes on trail conditions and do some light trail clean-up. The series will finish on December 21, the Winter Solstice. Kids 8 and older are welcome to join. Bring water, work gloves, insect protection, and wear boots. Registration required. Location and parking instructions will be sent after registration. No dogs, please. Instructor: Kathy Connolly
