Instructor Wayne is a Certified Coach by USA Pickleballl and the Professional Pickleball Registry. He has been playing the sport for 7 years and has been coaching for over 2 years.

Rosemary Hokanson is a full-time resident of Naples, Florida, “Pickleball Capital of the World” and part-time resident of Old Saybrook, CT.
Pickleball is one of Rosemary’s passions since retirement. Rosemary plays pickleball for recreation and competitive tournaments and understands the different needs between the two areas. She has won 2 bronze medals at the 3.5 doubles level and also participates in mini-tournaments and women’s leagues. She is currently employed by Naples Pickleball Center where she works in Customer Service helping many individuals assess their pickleball ability for private lessons with the professional instructors, as well as placement for skill level clinics and programs.
During her summer months she has enjoyed playing pickleball with all of her pickleball friends in Old Saybrook and along the shoreline.
Rosemary is a member of USA Pickleball, Professional Pickleball Registry (PPR) and Pickleball Coaching International, where she is pending PC1 Level Certification. She looks forward to bringing her passion for Pickleball to Old Saybrook Parks and Recreation by creating a fun, safe and effective teaching program.

• Participants in our instructional programs should bring their own paddle, a water bottle and wear comfortable clothing that allows for movement.
• Sneakers are mandatory.
• If you do not own a paddle you may borrow a wooden paddle but they are limited and are fist come first serve.
