Instructor Wayne Qian is a Professional Pickleball Registry (PPR) Certified Coach. He began playing pickleball in 2016 and is still playing 5-6 days per week and frequently competing in tournaments and won multiple medals including 3 gold at men’s double 4.0 level.
Wayne’s pickleball experience, knowledge of the game, passion for people, and love of teaching are evident in all his lessons and programs. He understands what it takes to take a player from where they are currently to where they want to be based on their goals. No two players are alike and his ability to see the nuances of each player’s game makes him a Pro pickleball instructor.
Wayne is a Pro Instructor at Lyme Shores Racquet Club in East Lyme, CT where he runs the clinics and 2 successful programs. One is the weekly “Coach Guided Up & Down The River Play”, an exhilarating game of permanent partners pickleball. Another is “Advanced Pickleball League” where teams compete with each other weekly. Wayne also teaches in New London Park & Recreation.

• Participants in our instructional programs should bring their own paddle, a water bottle and wear comfortable clothing that allows for movement.
• Sneakers are mandatory.
• If you do not own a paddle you may borrow a wooden paddle but they are limited and are fist come first serve.

• This program is for those who are new to the sport or consider themselves beginners.
• This program will involve instruction and more game play
• The goal is to learn the game and then spend time playing it so our participants quickly understand how to play the game.
