Join stewardship events at The Preserve on selected Saturday or Sunday afternoons from 1:00-3:00pm. The primary activity will be cutting unwanted invasive plants, which are easier to access during the winter months. (Also, there’s no tick activity when temperatures are below 40 degrees.) Plan on walking about one mile to the cutting site, working for about one hour and ten minutes, then returning to the parking lot. Bring clippers or long-handled loppers, or borrow one of ours. Wear boots. Gloves that resist thorns are a good idea (leather, for instance).

These events will take place only when the morning forecast shows daytime temperatures of at least 30 degrees with no precipitation. Call Kathy Connolly for additional information or last minute updates, 860-510-2136.

If you need help with registration, please call our office at 860-395-3152
