Before Camp Care (1st-4th Grade) - Before Care Session 8 The Park & Recreation Department will offer a Before & After Camp Care program. These extra hours are designed to provide supervision to youth in grade 1st – 4th whose parents work beyond the 9:00-4:00PM Camp time. We will staff from 8:00 –9:00 a.m. for before care. After Care will be available from 4:00 – 5:30 p.m. Staff is not on duty before 8:00 a.m. or after 5:30 p.m. Please make sure your child is dropped off or picked up between the hours listed below. Program takes place at the Recreation Center.

We will have campers participating in arts-n-crafts, science, nature activities, water games, and sport games. Any out of town field trips this summer we will look to visit Mini Golf at Saybrook Point and head down to the town beach.Campers will not be required to wear masks. However, Masks will be required on the bus to the Town Beach/Mini Golf on Wednesdays. Every week will be a different "theme" that some of our activities will look to mirror. You can check out the themes by scrolling to the bottom of the page. Also, Please check out the performers scheduled to visit our camp this year! Yoga w/ Terri Cain - Gentle Yoga Session 3 - 10:00am Class Gentle Yoga is a Vinyasa-based class which blends breath with movement, balancing gentle stretches and openings with invigorating poses. Modifications encourage mixed-level students to work to their personal edge. Focus of this class is on stress release and re-energizing of body and mind. Class Taught by : Terri Cain, BFA, MA, MDiv, certified Kripalu Yoga instructor; has lead students for over 20 years. Inspiration for her yoga classes comes from her background in dance, intensive training in Dance Therapy and Movement Analysis with Irmgard Bartenieff, founder of the Laban Institute of Movement Studies, studies in the Alexander Technique, and an ongoing exploration of spirituality and the arts (Master of Divinity -Yale/ Institute of Sacred Music.) Terri teaches group and private yoga for all ages. She brings her yoga off the mat as President of Guilford Community TV, and as Founding Partner and Manager of the Hubbard Community Garden at the Medad Stone Tavern

Win's For Life Basketball Clinics & Camp - Win's For Life Basketball Camp WINS For Life is excited to help basketball students prepare for their upcoming season, while they learn important life lessons. WINS elevates the skill level and knowledge of youth players and we contribute to their self-esteem and confidence. Individual attention and instruction will be at a premium and delivered via the WINS Four E’s (Effort, Energy, Enthusiasm, Execution). Our clinics feature teaching key basketball fundamentals and an array of skills, such as ball-handling, passing, shooting, cutting, one on one moves and creating scoring opportunities. Big Fun awaits! WINS For Life will be hosting Summer Basketball Clinics from August 15-18 (from 5pm-7pm) at the Old Saybrook Community Center. WINS For Life is affiliated with the Basketball Hall of Fame where they have hosted over 30 clinics. Owner and Director David Vasquenza will lead the summer clinic staff. He is a former college and high school coach. Over 35 students from his spring travel program (the WINS For Life All Stars) have advanced to play college basketball, including at prestigious programs such as UConn, Notre Dame and Yale.

Win's For Life Basketball Clinics & Camp - Win's For Life Basketball Camp WINS For Life is excited to help basketball students prepare for their upcoming season, while they learn important life lessons. WINS elevates the skill level and knowledge of youth players and we contribute to their self-esteem and confidence. Individual attention and instruction will be at a premium and delivered via the WINS Four E’s (Effort, Energy, Enthusiasm, Execution). Our clinics feature teaching key basketball fundamentals and an array of skills, such as ball-handling, passing, shooting, cutting, one on one moves and creating scoring opportunities. Big Fun awaits! WINS For Life will be hosting Summer Basketball Clinics from August 15-18 (from 5pm-7pm) at the Old Saybrook Community Center. WINS For Life is affiliated with the Basketball Hall of Fame where they have hosted over 30 clinics. Owner and Director David Vasquenza will lead the summer clinic staff. He is a former college and high school coach. Over 35 students from his spring travel program (the WINS For Life All Stars) have advanced to play college basketball, including at prestigious programs such as UConn, Notre Dame and Yale.

Inspiration for her yoga classes comes from her background in dance, intensive training in Dance Therapy and Movement Analysis with Irmgard Bartenieff, founder of the Laban Institute of Movement Studies, studies in the Alexander Technique, and an ongoing exploration of spirituality and the arts (Master of Divinity -Yale/ Institute of Sacred Music.) Inspiration for her yoga classes comes from her background in dance, intensive training in Dance Therapy and Movement Analysis with Irmgard Bartenieff, founder of the Laban Institute of Movement Studies, studies in the Alexander Technique, and an ongoing exploration of spirituality and the arts (Master of Divinity -Yale/ Institute of Sacred Music.) Terri teaches group and private yoga for all ages. Adult Pickleball - Pickleball for Adults Session 7 Pickleball is a racquet sport which combines elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis. The sport is played on a court with the same dimensions as a doubles badminton court. The net is similar to a tennis net, but is mounted two inches lower. The game is played with a hard paddle and a polymer wiffleball.

Adult Volleyball Wednesday Nights - Adult Volleyball Wednesday Nights - Fall On Wednesday nights the gym is open to all adults to come and play pick-up style volleyball. This is a great opportunity to get out mid week and have a fun and active evening. The competition is friendly and usually we are able to play 3 to 4 matches each night.
